Marhgil Macuha is a blogger, who just like me but who lives in the other part of the world. One of the major differences between us is that he earns a lot through his blog, unlike me! He knows how to attract visitors, which I am trying to do.

The SEO contest of Marhgil Macuha

To celebrate the anniversay of his blog, Macuha.com, Marhgil Macuha has organised a mini SEO contest. The aim of this contest is for a blogger to have a highest rank on Google's and Yahoo's search page for the keywords Marhgil Macuha. The person managing to accomplish this feat will be rewarded $100 for his rank on Google, and $50 for his rank on Yahoo. This contest ends on the 4th January 2008.

My views on Marhgil Macuha's contest

I honestly believe it is a nice initiative to have conceived such a contest. It would encourage bloggers to dig more and more to find their own techniques to drive traffic to their blogs, and to have decent rankings on Google's search page. Its a fun way to peep into the world of SEO, and with a potential reward for the one who manages to grasp the already available concepts, or for the one who revolutionizes everything. The vision of Marhgil Macuha should be appreciated, and we must hope that other contests like this are organised in the future!
